Most Rev. Jorge Rodríguez Eagar PhD. D.D
Ritual has been an integral part of Rev. Jorge’s formation.  By integrating visual and other artistic expressions as tools for healing and transformation, he reclaims the time-honored mystical power of ritual to assist in self-realization. Rev. Jorge teaches classes on Christ-centered meditation, chanting, ancient Christian mantra practices, the basic elements of ritual, soul collage, magical & mystical Christianity, the archangelic realms, and shrine-box making. Bishop Jorge is spiritual director of the Shrine of Holy Wisdom in Tempe whose mission is to “examine the more poetic, mystical, psychologically sophisticated, esoteric strands in the Christian tradition to unearth hidden spiritual treasures and explore how these sacred ideals might inform and give meaning to our lives.”

Fr. Jorge was ordained a priest in the Independent Catholic Apostolic Church of Antioch on Sept. 29, 2001, thus fulfilling a life-long dream. In November of that same year he began his priestly ministry known as The Shrine of the Christ of Divine Life in Tempe, Arizona. The first Shrine he created (shown in the adjacent photo) was located behind Byblos Restaurant near Southern & Mill Ave. In June 2007 the Shrine moved to a larger space at 4025 S. ASH Ave. which it soon outgrew. In June 2010 the current Shrine located at 5025 S. ASH Ave. was created doubling its space once again.
In May 2008, Fr. Jorge was consecrated a bishop according to the ancient rites of the western church. The Shrine celebrated its 10th anniversary in November 2011.
