Ash Wednesday/Deeksha Service February 22nd @7:30 pm
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the 40 day cycle of the season of LENT in the Christian tradition. It is a time of intense spiritual preparation in anticipation of the Glorious Resurrection of Mar Yeshua in His Rainbow Body of Light. Lent is symbolic of the 40 days that Mar Yeshua spent in the solitude of the desert in preparation for his life-giving ministry. Join us in the celebration of the Heart Song Ceremony with Deeksha. This ceremony composed by Fr. Simeon Nartoomid, assists us in our process of spiritual transformation and embodiment of the Christ consciousness which is at the heart of all Lenten practices. In this beautiful ceremony we call upon the great beings of light & love to fortify and strengthen us in our resolve to undertake the Lenten disciplines of fasting, prayer, good works, & meditation as daily practices. Blessed ashes will be distributed as part of the traditional observance of the beginning of Lent.
