Healing Service of the Archangel Raphael Wednesday, September 12 at Noon

Bishop Jorge will celebrate the Votive Liturgy of the Archangel Raphael at Noon on Wednesday, September 12. The name Raphael means “Healing of God” or God’s Medicine.” The day consecrated to Holy Raphael is Wednesday which is why this particular day of the week was chosen to officiate the Divine Liturgy. In this liturgy the names of persons in need of healing from physical maladies will be read aloud and visualized at certain points during the Mass. Also, at this service the sacred litany invoking the assistance of the Archangel Raphael will be chanted for the wellbeing of those persons whose names are submitted. The service will conclude with anointing with holy oil.  A Love offering is requested.
